REVIEW: Rick’s Cabaret

We visited Rick’s Cabaret for the first time on Saturday because we had wanted to for a while and we saw in Tag Magazine that they were doing a Candy Land theme, so we couldn’t think of a better night. I have been saying for a while that the clubs should have costume nights to keep things more interesting. I don’t know if guys care about that stuff but to me, it would set the club apart from others and keep things interesting.
We only paid a 10 dollar cover each and they offer valet parking. The parking lot is huge though so we had no problem getting a spot. Apparently, they had moved Candy Land until next weekend. I was upset because I had checked the website and didn’t see anything about it on there but apparently, they had posted it to their Facebook. Unfortunately, we won’t be available next weekend so I hope they do another theme night in the future. There was a sign up front that said “Ask me about VIP,” but they never mentioned it while we were paying. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit and got pretty close to the front but the closest seats were couches reserved for people who ordered bottle service. There was a ton of seating though and a very large VIP section with an additional 2 poles. When we sat down, we had to sign a preauthorization to use a card but it was only for 50 dollars this time. Not bad at all. Our waitress was hot as were many of the others.
The club had 2 full bars and a pretty large poker table that stayed crowded all night. There are tons of TV screens so this place would be fun if you were watching a game or something with friends. We got there around 9:30 to be able to get a seat but by 10:30, the place was packed. There were almost as many women as there were men. Some couples but it seemed like it was mostly groups of friends.
The main stage was pretty cool. It was circular and had a very tall, spinning pole in the middle. The back was covered in mirrors and there was a light show right above the girls. It did a really good job of keeping everyone’s attention. There was also a pole in the back of the club that got just as much attention if not more. It was surrounded by seating and I felt like more people went to the back one to tip the dancers.The dancers started on the main stage, then would move to VIP then to the back stage so if you wanted to get a dance from a particular dancer, you had to wait a little while. Speaking of that, there were only a few girls walking around. It didn’t seem like there were enough there to give everyone a dance that wanted one. We only stayed until about midnight so maybe it picked up but not while we were there. We weren’t approached for a dance at all…the entire night. That was a disappointment.
The men’s restroom was clearly marked and had an attendant. The women’s restroom was in the back near the bar and wasn’t horrible. I didn’t have to walk through the dressing room so that was fine with me. I do wish it had been cleaner though. I think I was expected too much when we went in. Rick’s is a public company so they have obviously made a ton of money. It one was on the better clubs we have been in but it didn’t have the “wow” factor I was looking for and the girls weren’t top notch like I thought they would have been for a Saturday at one of the most popular clubs in Austin. Don’t get me wrong, many were very attractive but every once in a while, they were bad. Regardless, we had a good time and I think this would be a cool place to come with a group of people. The music wasn’t too loud but it was really smokey inside. The drinks were strong and the service was good. We will more than likely visit again.
REVIEW: Perfect 10

We went to visit this club on a Sunday because we had not been before. We went to pay the cover and the guy in front of us told the manager that it was his birthday so the manager let him in free. When it was our turn to pay, he said he had received free passes from someone else and let us in free too! Great start to the night. They also did 5$ drinks…whatever you want. We had several drinks and I think ended up only paying 65 dollars for the whole night. That was the cheapest trip to the strip club we’ve ever had.
Perfect 10 has a big parking lot which was nice but the club was mostly empty when we got there around 9. We knew it would be and I didn’t care. I just wanted to check it out. They have 2 good sized bars and a poker table. Like many Austin clubs, smoking was allowed inside but luckily no one was really doing it around us. Our clothes did smell horrible when we got home though. The main stage is pretty cool. It has 2 bubble fixtures (that is the technical term 
) on either side of the stage that light up and…well…have bubbles in them.They also had one main pole that spun when the girls got on it and 2 T poles to the sides of the main one. The bachelor party chair was on stage. It was a huge red velvet recliner looking chair equipped with straps for the poor guy to be restrained by his arms and legs. There was a stage in the back of the club with a pole and behind that, another huge room opened up that had a TV screen along an entire wall. No one was using it that night but it just seemed like there was a ton of seating. I would be anxious to see what all went on here on the weekends.
We had two girls ready to wait on us as soon as we sat down and they were very sweet and very attentive. I did find it interesting that they made my fiance sign a form saying his credit card would be preauthorized for 120 dollars. We had several club preauthorize cards while we were traveling but none of us told them they were doing it. He was also excited they offered draft beer at the bar. Usually he has to get bottles.
The women’s restroom was tucked away in the back of the club but regardless, it was comfortable to walk to and clean. The men’s restroom did have an attendant and was close to the stage.
We enjoyed our time here, the only downfall was that we were not approached for a dance..ALL…night. That’s not the worst part. I was going up and tipping the girls and one of them was particularly attractive so I told her we would love a dance from her when she was done on stage…but no. After she finished, we waited around for a while and saw her wondering looking for a male’s lap to sit on. I don’t know if she forgot, or just didn’t want to do it but I know she heard me and even confirmed she would be by. So I was disappointed by that. I did run into another dancer that I recognized from the Yellow Rose. I asked her how many other clubs she worked at and she said just Yellow Rose and Perfect 10. She said a lot of the Yellow Rose girls got to Perfect 10 because they really like it. I thought that was interesting. I went to the stage to give her the last of my ones before we left and she was very handsy with me, which hasn’t happened much with other dancers. They pretty much pull the side of their G-string out as soon as I walk to the stage. She told me the DJ forgot she was supposed to have a particular set for her dance and I wasn’t sure what she meant by that. I asked her if she got to pick her music, smoke and lights and she said yes but she wasn’t picky about it.
I do have to say..in the nicest way possible…we got a good laugh at the wait staff. They were young and attractive as you would expect but at one point, a little old Asian woman with an argyle sweater and Nikes approached the table next to me and we realized she worked there. I say good for her..she seemed good at her job but she totally didn’t fit the mold.
Anyway, we had fun here. They had awesome drink specials and do the 5 dollar drinks every Sunday and have even better drink specials throughout the week. If you are in the area, this has become one of our favorite clubs so I suggest you check it out!

I am sad to say we are flying home today. We had an amazing time in NYC! You guys were so great at recommending places for us to check out and I really appreciate that!
While I am sad to leave, I cannot WAIT to get home so I can share our experiences with all of you! It will be a busy couple of days as I settle back into the swing of things so be patient with me.

REVIEW: XTC Cabaret

SInce our experience at the last strip club was so enjoyable, we decided we would try an all nude club this time. Since I had never been. It was on a Wednesday, which I know is not a great not to hit any club but unfortunately, was all our schedules would allow last week. We also wanted to visit this one because they had oil wrestling and we thought it would be fun to watch. We checked out the site first, you can view it here, and noted that it was BYOB and the oil wrestling took place at 10:30 and 12:30 that night.
When we got there, I think there were only 2 other tables so we were able to sit right next to the oil pit and had several people ask if they could bring us anything. They even offered ice, for a fee but we didn’t order anything else and the cocktail waitresses have to make their tips somehow. The also had mixers, RedBull, bottled water and other things offered at the bar.
As the girls came up on stage, they pretty much stripped nude on their first song and surprisingly, the lack of panties didn’t alarm me as I thought it might before going. There was a ton of space in this club and featured 3 different dance floors. Only two were used the night we were there but there didn’t end up being a big audience. The cover was $25 a piece which I thought was a little expensive since we could have had VIP for $30. I couldn’t see into the VIP room and I liked that it offered more privacy than just curtains.
We sat, talked and had a few beers until around 10:15 when we decided to get a dance before the wrestling began. We had noted that none of the dancers would approach our table and attributed that to the fact that we are clearly a couple and were possibly uncomfortable with talking to me. Right when we decided to get a dance however, one of the girls did approach us so we complimented her on that and told her we wanted a couple’s dance. She was a little confused but after sorting it out, she started to pull my chair so she could straddle me. I asked her if we could move to the back of the room where others were getting their dances and she didn’t mind at all.
She started dancing on my man and told me she would give me boob and him butt, which was fine with me. She had her thong on for a while and when she took it off, we really didn’t get to see much of her lady parts. I expected her to put it basically right in his face, but no. Which I will admit, was OK with me. She had a hot body and was very sweet the throughout the dance, even talked to me for the whole time. Once the dance was over, we went back to our table and anxiously awaited the oil wrestling. And then we kept waiting, until about 10:50 and decided it wasn’t happening. I was disappointed because the DJ kept mentioning it but I guess they were gearing up for the 12:30 round and skipped the 10:30. It was a work night for us so we left around 11.
Overall, we enjoyed out time there as we always do because we get to talk to each other without thinking of the stress of our day. And it doesn’t hurt that we were surrounded by naked women. I also get a kick out of watching some of the super nervous guys go up to the stage. The women’s bathrooms were better but the men’s lacked the luster of Palazio’s. There was a ton of seating which was nice and also the stages around the place allowed for a good view no matter where you sat. I like that it is BYOB because it ended up being cheaper for us. This club is a little bit further of a drive for us but it is one of the only full nude in our area so we will probably visit again.
REVIEW: Palazio Men’s Club – Austin, TX

This was my first time at a strip club but will not be my last. It is something I have been curious about for a while but was not sure how I woud react to other women dancing on my man. Jealousy is something I am working on and I know it can destroy a relationship faster than anything else. So after talking myself into being brave and looking through many reviews online, we decided Palazio Men’s Club was where I would have my first experience.
We did visit on a Sunday night, thanks to work and kids, so it was much slower that I expected. I was nervous that this would bring unwanted attention as I needed to ease into this slowly. But to my surprise, it didn’t. The dancers looking for lap dances flocked to the single guys. I was also surprised to see an equal numbers of single guys to couples in the club that night. It started to ease my nervousness and as I watched the girls onstage, I started enjoying myself quickly.
We started off just talking, drinking and watching the girls dance. I was amazed by some of the things they could do with that pole. They had a main stage up front and one small one on each side of the room. There were chairs along the walls that the girls would take people that wanted lap dances. There was also a VIP area surrounded by curtains. After about two hours, we decided we were ready for the next step – our first couple’s lap dance.
We walked up to the side stage where a tall blonde was dancing after her main dance. We put money in her thong and told her to meet us after she was done. She came to the table shortly after and as soon as she sat down, I started getting really nervous. She had a very heavy accent and I couldn’t understand a word she was saying so I let my man do the talking. Luckily we weren’t at the table long and she pulled us to the side for our dance. She started on him and I wasn’t sure where to look or what to do with my hands. I was impressed though at that point, I didn’t feel even the smallest twinge of jealousy. Then it was my turn. She smelled amazing. Sadly, I wasn’t turned on but was more thinking about asking her how she got her amazing body and what kind of perfume she was wearing. At that point, I had to sit on my hands because again, I wasn’t sure what to do with them but she had such nice boobs I had a bad urge to reach up and grab them. She went back to him again and I was slightly more comfortable and decided to grab his hand. Then she came back to me and he took the hand he was holding and put it on her ass. I freaked out a little because in the research I had done before we got there, everyone said the clubs don’t tolerate touching. But she just laughed and said it was ok. So then I asked her if her boobs were real and if I could touch them. She didn’t mind a bit and actually reached over and grabbed mine briefly. The dance ended and she talked to us for a little while longer and then it was time to leave. She was very nice and told us all about her plastic surgeon and her life before coming to America.
I don’t know if it is natural that I was more infatuated with how to get a body like hers than I was turned on but that was the end result.
So overall, I feel like there were plenty of hot women, the service was outstanding and it seems like they do a lot of fun events to get their customers coming back. They also had a poker table set up that stayed packed the whole time they were there and I thought that was a nice addition. My only complaint is the restroom situation. The men’s restroom was clean, had an attendant, mints and the option to have your cologne refreshed. The women’s restroom was another story. It wasn’t clean and I think only one door had a lock on it. But I do understand that they are a Gentlemen’s Club and men bring in the money so I won’t hold it against them.
My first visit was much better than expected and not only did I get to experience something new with my love, we also just got to sit and talk for hours which we don’t make nearly enough time for. We will be visiting again and I will recommend this club to others.
